Instead of depending entirely on permanent physical place-name and distance boards, a digital display connected to GPS/GNSS, digital maps and authorised transport-route databases can continuously provide updated information.

The display can show:

  • Next place + remaining distance
  • Next major destination
  • Estimated arrival time
  • Route/diversion/safety information
  • Multilingual information
  • Automatic voice announcements

Separate displays can be provided for the driver cabin and passenger cabin, with the driver's display designed to avoid distraction.
